Still WBC World Champion- Congratulations From FCC Carl

Froch wins in 12th round by TKO

Taylor starts extremely well, landing lots of fast hard combinations and with a world class spearing jab - whilst Froch, who's as confident as a man can, whilst fighting a world class opponent on American television.

Taylor takes the first couple of rounds, but Froch lets him know he is there. Round 3 and hard blows exchanged before Froch is turned and countered onto the ropes by Taylor which makes Froch throw some ragged shots before an overhand right crashes Froch to the canvas.

Unhurt and clear-headed he takes the 8 on Rob McCracken's count before finishing the round with more offence work.

First third of the fight concluded as expected - with Taylor in command and looking good.

Froch starts the next few rounds quicker and in my opinion they could go either way - with Froch getting tagged by flashy counters, yet pressing forward and trying a variety of different hard, thudding shots. Taylor's work seems to now be reserved for the last minute of each round.

American TV then start getting ringside journalist's scorecards (all in Taylor's favour as per the knockdown) but then Froch starts to up his offensive work even more and Taylor throws hardly any shots back for huge spells.

By this point the American tv commentators are going really overboard with 'Taylor's amazing jab' this ' Another excellent punch from Taylor' that. Where is the respect for Froch?

Second third of fight, Froch pressing the action as expected and landing - but Pro-Taylor commentating concerning Froch fans everywhere...

Going into the final rounds, Froch starts to patiently stalk Taylor, knowing that he has nothing left, he can sense it. Rob McCracken see's it otherwise, imploring Froch not to be reckless and that if he wins the next couple of rounds he will have the fight won.

Round 12 begins and Froch starts fast, landing thudding hard shots and Taylor is plodding back - then Froch catches him and forces him into the corner before knocking him down for a count.

Now the Froch faithful realise that Carl needs to finish him rather than go to the scorecards - and Carl obliges them.

Walking, hands by his side, almost casually he attacks Taylor again, picking his shots before trapping him on the ropes - one, two three big shots rain in and the ref stands close - and then Taylor starts almost turning away with his hands dropping 'no mas' style before the referee stops the fight.

As usual, a typical edge of your seat fight provided by Carl !
