Proffessor Flavio Almeida is a 2nd degree black belt and has been studying BJJ under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. for more then 15 years. His BJJ journey began at the age of 13, when he decided to go with his brother Ricardo Almeida for a trail class at the original Gracie Barra School, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Prof. Almeida has had the privilage of training with, and learning from some of the best of Mater Carlos Gracie Jr. students, like Mater Renzo Gracie, Prof. Ricardo Almeida, and Prof. Marcio Feitosa.
